History of Toronto .NET Users Group


Toronto .NET Users Group was founded by SystemGroup, Web2xml, Gregory Consulting and Trios Training Centres to create a .NET community in the GTA area. Toronto .NET Users Group (DNUGTor) had its first meeting at the Microsoft Canada Offices on March 12th, 2002 with discussions on ASP.NET, COM+ Services, and cross-language inheiritance. DNUGTor is dedicated to professional programmers who are knowledgeable about leading-edge Microsoft technologies. Currently there are over 2400 active members. Membership is open to everyone and is free.


Mission Statement


The mission of the Toronto .NET Users Group is to provide advanced, interesting information about the Microsoft .NET Framework. We serve the need of developers to receive the best .NET programming information, and fill their desire to be informed about developments of revolutionary importance as early as possible. We are committed to increasing visibility for our members, and to increasing the visibility of .NET programming in general. We serve the needs of programmers who are currently working with or interested in the .NET platform.
