You can use them whatever way you want. They are built on .NET 1.1. Also they don't connect to microsoft analysis service. They have a small engine to process raw data and build cube.

Windows version should work in .NET 2.0 as well. ASP.NET version has problems in VS2005 design environment, also has problems with AJAX in ASP.NET 2.0. Other than that, it should work in .NET 2.0 as well.
