We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join and complement our Information Services team as a Senior Developer / Architect.  This position is ideally suited for someone who is already a Senior Developer / Technical Lead and is interested in moving into an Architect role.

Responsibilities of this position include:>>

  1. Develops high level and detailed software and technical requirements by working with the business system group and by conducting interviews, workshops and meetings with staff and all levels of management
  2. Coaches development staff in system design, documentation, programming, and testing, troubleshooting and other technical topics
  3. Defines the infrastructure, performance, capacity and security requirements for applications built or supported by the development group
  4. Assists with the monitoring and planning the transactional and storage capacities for the production systems
  5. Works with other senior development staff to develop and enforce standards and methodologies for the group.
  6. Researches new technologies and makes recommendations to development management.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Under 10 years of software development experience >>
  • At least 6 years of development experience in a Windows-based and Web-based environments with at least two years as a senior developer / technical lead>>
  • Expert level working knowledge of Microsoft .NET Platform: C#, ASP.NET,  Windows Forms .NET Framework 2.0+,  Web Services, SQL Server 2005+, Visual Studio 2005+, II6+, MSMQ and Active Directory
  • Experience in the architecture and design of scalable and high performance enterprise level software
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure planning for n-tier web systems
  • Sound understanding of networks, Windows operating systems and network security principles and technologies 
  • Application architecture experience would be consider an asset
