Are you strong with .NET, C++ and Web Services?

The Messaging Middleware & Web Services Infrastructure (IMAS/GTO) of RBC’s Enterprise Architecture Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Systems Analyst. This Technical Specialist position plays an important role in evaluating, designing, developing, implementing and supporting critical external access middleware solutions for RBC applications. Messaging middleware and market data infrastructure solutions are used by mission critical applications in RBC, especially Capital Markets, to provide reliable and robust transaction & information processing.

Overall, your main accountabilities will be broken down as follows:
10% Research and Technical Planning
40% Evaluation, Design, Analysis and Development
50% Developers consulting and application support

Our minimum requirements to ensure your success in this role are:
• Proficient C/C++/.NET programming (min 5 years)
• Proficient XML (XML, XSLT, XPath,.)(min 3 years)
• Experienced in Web Services technologies and WS-* stack (WS-Security, WS-Trust, , WS-SecureConversation, SAML) (min 1 year)
• Good administrative understanding of UNIX and Windows NT
• Experienced in Internet and Web Technologies (min 3 years)
• Exposure to information and systems Security technologies
• Experience/familiarity with EAI and ESB technologies, such as IBM WMB, IBM DataPower or similar (min 1 year)
• Familiarity with Java programming is an asset
• Background in troubleshooting and providing support to a production environment.
• Good understanding of IP networking.
• Proven self-starter who can identify possible work areas, assess the need and deliver a solution.
• Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation) capable of dealing with multiple development teams, including internal, off-shore or external partners
• Strong Service Partner Orientation
• Positive attitude toward technical issues and project pressure
• Information Seeking, self sufficient in efficiently dealing with new technologies and technological challenges
