Position:                                Network Administrator>>

Work schedule:                     Flexible within hours of operation:  Monday-Friday 8am-8pm>>

Responsibilities:          >>

·          Deployment, administration, and/or troubleshooting of enterprise infrastructure, server infrastructure, and network services;>>

·          Responsible and accountable for wide range of highly technical tasks associated with some or all of the following: local and wide area network connectivity, firewalls, network and server security, telephone systems, monitoring systems, operating systems, data backup, recovery and storage, database systems, e-mail and document management network and server infrastructure;>>

·          Address complex troubleshooting;>>

·          Design, build and configure complex (e.g. multi-server, layer 3 switching, IP Telephony) environments;>>

·          Document, track, and monitor problems via IT Ticketing System to ensure a timely resolution, providing end users with status updates and communicate needs to IT Mgmt;>>

·          Allocate and coordinate equipment inventory as it relates to New Hires, Terminations & internal moves; >>

·          Develop and maintain positive working relationships with end users; >>

·          Assist in building vendor relationships, coordinating hardware/software quotes for server and desktop related tasks; >>

·          Maintain inventory of corporate hardware and software assets; including software licenses and original media in an organized fashion; >>

·          Remain current on company-wide system enhancements of software, hardware and data communication; >>

·          Interpret current and emerging technology and how they apply operationally; >>

·          Coordinate arrangements for repair of malfunctioning computer equipment with vendors. Maintain periodic maintenance of equipment; >>

·          Coordinate, prepare and provide end user technical training and/or documentation as needed;>>

·          Manage projects; and>>

·          Provide guidance and instruction to other staff.>>

Qualifications:>>

> >

Education & Experience:>>

·          Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 2000/2003 preferred, (MCSA) minimum;>>

·          Cisco (CCNA) is an asset;>>

·          At least 6+ years of experience in Information Systems;>>

·          Minimum of 2 years experience as a Systems Administrator required; >>

·          Experience with the Microsoft Windows environment, specifically Windows Server 2000/2003; >>

·          Experience with system backup, email systems, and directory services; >>

·          Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Management; >>

·          Experience with MS Virtual Server an asset;>>

·          Experience with Share Point an asset;>>

·          Experience with documentation and asset tracking for large numbers of systems and equipment; and>>

·          Experience with anti-virus software and detection/removal tools;>>

> >

Necessary Knowledge:>>

·          Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS and File/Print services; >>

·          Knowledge and familiarity with computer hardware including PCs, servers and printers; >>

·          Must understand IP Routing, TCP/IP, WAN protocols;>>

·          Good understanding of routing protocols such as BGP/OSPF/RIP and Trunking/VLAN concepts;>>

·          Familiar with Cisco IOS and Hardware;>>

·          Knowledge of LAN/WAN connections including T1, T3, MPLS, etc; >>

·          Knowledge of commonly used equipment, concepts, practices, and procedures within Data Center Operations; >>

·          Knowledge of Cisco routers/switches and wireless technology;  >>

·          Familiarity with firewalls, network security, intrusion detection; and>>

·          Knowledge of Telecommunications infrastructure, IP Telephony, develop and engineer layer 3 network including IP address management, assignment and deployment;>>

Other Requirements:>>

·          Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills; >>

·          Strong verbal and written communications skills; >>

·          Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task; >>

·          Willingness to learn; >>

·          Team Player; and>>

·          Ability to work independently and diligently to maintain a high level of service to end users;>>
