Topic:  Location Agnostic Architectures: Designing for the Cloud and the Data Centre

We are rapidly reaching an inflection point in the architecture of our infrastructure where the cost of provisioning and maintaining resources locally in our own data centres exceeds that of accessing it in the cloud. While cloud scale, reliability and accessibility are compelling we need to insure that our integration, security and manageability requirements are met. The ideal situation would be to leverage components that allow flexibility in location allowing us to defer to deployment time where they will execute. This session will explore architecture patterns, virtualization, and Microsoft technologies that will help us realize this vision of being location agnostic.
